Not really feelin trupet perhaps its the guitar synth you put over the line,Stay alive, and the manny fresh-esque beat served ther purposes, the first one you made on fruity loops was pretty cool, you should look in to tweakin your kick drum sounds a little more and choose snare/hi-hat combinations wisely, but this is just one mans opinion and that is all peace. -my two cents

Thanks for showing me some love on my page. Nope I don't have any formal musical training. I play in band at school, but it's just that classical formal stuff. I only play piano by ear, nobody helps me.
Anyways enough about me. Your stuff it tight. I try to listen whenever you post something on the message board. I like what I hear. Your stuff it really good. Keep doing your thing.
Just thought I'd stop by and give ya a shout. Good job.

Heh heh... It's appreciated. But you must know, I wasn't trying to emulate Kanye's style (which is the overwhelming use of breakdowns, which isn't bad but that's him.) Some beats call for it, some don't. Down Lo Jam is a simple beat that people will start bopping to in a club. Or it can be what it was aimed to be... a DOWN LO JAM, a chill beat.
Some tips for you: Get your hands on better samples. Seriously. The beat you have playing on the front page is... not good. It's not good enough to make a person continue into the page wondering if you have more hot beats, when that one is not. Your placement of the samples is at most average, but they make one want to click the STOP icon because they can get very annoying. I don't see anybody flowing to that beat (And if a rapper does want to use it, HE'D BETTER BE REEEEALLY GOOD, good enough to draw attention away from the beat and to the lyrics, because these days the beat is what saves most mainstream craprappers, and others li
