Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Street Syndicate Records began with the CEOs A-Dub and Young Dre deciding now was their time to shine in the current music industry because their skill outshined many current popular rap artists. They began very modest with Dre winning rap battles around the school and building a buzz. In February 2005 they gathered 3 of the top artists to asisst them in creating the All-Star Game Mixtape. This mixtape was the worlds introduction to A-Dub as a emcee and the Street Syndicate as a force to be reckoned with in the local music scene. Street Syndicate continued what brought them success promoting their mixtape and winning rap battles. Around the summer of 2005 2 of the artists who assisted Dub and Dre in the All-Star Game had a "falling out" with their label. They called themselves "The D.O.N. (double or nothing) and consisted of the agile lyricist J. Price and the notoriously known Menace. Seeing a golden opportunity to add to their roster A-Dub recruited Price and Menace to the ranks of The Street Syndicate. With a revamped roster The Syndicate began recording their next mixtape "Grand Theft Auto: New Jack City". This mixtape was released in September 2005. After getting rave reviews from their peers and fans alike The Street Syndicate got the opportunity to appear on a local hip-hop television show called "The Flava Network". This solidified The Street Syndicate's status as a local group on the rise. After their TV appearance and successful mixtape it was back to work for the group. A-Dub decided it was time for him to shine on his own with very little assistance from the rest of the members. He began work on his personal Mixtape "Lost in the Matrix". The "Lost in the Matrix" mixtape was released in October 2005 showcasing A-Dub's growth in his lyrical prowess since the All-Star game. With an All-Star roster than now includes singer/rapper Brittany G. The Street Syndicate is back to business with J.Price's mixtape "Priceless" coming out in November, and another group mixtape, "Street Syndicate Radio: Wargames", out sometime in December or January 06, The Street Syndicate is living up to their motto of "We run the streets!!!".
