Street Runnaz Click
1988
From the crowded hallways of Creekside High, located on the south side of Fulton County/Atlanta, Ga. emerges one of the hottest rap acts to hit the industry: Street Runna Clickz
Embracing a sound that was born regional and now penetrating the country with chart toppers, Street Runnaz Click proudly carry the weight of the south on their shoulders.
Street Runnaz Click is comprised of 3 uniquely talented individuals (Jordan J-Riva Tobler, Freeman Young Free Thomas and Lance N.I.C.E. Browning). Members J-Riva and N.I.C.E. have been friends since the 4th grade after discovering they both shared the desire to become entertainers. Not until the 10th grade did the duo partner with Young Free and there was born The Street Runnaz Click.
During the summer of 2004 the trio would write and create tracks over one or the others house just about everyday. Young Frees Father (L.A.) noticed the passion they had for rapping yet and still a lack of direction, so he offered to take up as the groups manager. He began booking studio time, show casing the group at various skate centers and other venues throughout Atlanta and the Southeast. After a few sessions of recording songs written and produced by Street Runnaz, former tour manager/producer for the Ying Yang Twins who just so happened to own the recording studio came to terms with their manager to invest studio time and produce tracks for the group. One year after signing the development deal with producer K-Luv of Red Dirt Productionz, one would have to say that they have arrived! Winning place positions in every open mic contest entered, The Street Runnaz Click has opened up for some of the largest acts in the industry. Franchize, Crime Mob, Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, Ying Yang Twinz, Killer Mike, Mike Jones, Slime Thug, T.I., Young Jeezy and more. So here we are in the year 2006 with their first CD complete and ready to hit the streets in the spring.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We've traveled all around the southeast performing as the opening act for groups like Ying Yang, Luda, Outcast, Trillville, Lil' Jon and more.... There is no better feeling in the world @ this level of the industry then when you are the opening act for a major act and the crowd receives you without ever having heard your music. Our biggest shows as a head liners have to be in Griffin,Ga where we had over 1,000 kids doing our dance called "Jig Wit' It"
