Straight Curve
We are a four piece ska/rock band from Milton Keynes. The line up consists of -
Pippa - vocals/alto sax
Glen - Guitar
John - Bass/vocals
Dayne - Drums
We have had many different line ups since the band started. Glen and Dayne are actually the only original members left!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Straight Curve started out as a pop/punk band but after many different line up changes, we turned into a ska/rock band.
We have only been playing gigs in Milton Keynes. So far we have gigged with the likes of six point five, Through Silence, Fletcher, Route 215, Terrapin Trainstation and a few local bands.
We recently recorded our first album with Madcap Studios. It consists of 9 tracks with songs like Make a stand, Middle class band, Dion song and fan fav Put the knife down.
We would like to add more brass to the band but its so hard to find them so we will have to make do for now.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played a few live gigs all ready but only in our home town. We recently became the last ever band 2 support Fletcher on there fair well tour with Deckcheese Records.
Playin live is such a buzz! It brings out so much emotion and anger beein on stage so you just have to jump and fuck about on stage to get that anger and emotion out!
