Welcome to the long awaited mp3 site for the Stouts! For years people have been asking where to find Stouts music...well here it is. With the exception of having a few songs on various compilation CDs & 7-inches, most of our music has been almost impossible to find. On this site you will find remixes of our classic demo tracks, as well as newer & unreleased songs. We plan to officially release our songs to a CD eventually, but until then you can hear some of them here for free.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Stouts formed in Orlando FL in 1995, broke up twice, and went on permanent(?) hiatus in 2001. The band went through various line-up changes over the years, with core members (Darryl, Chris, and Brian) going on to form a short-lived hardcore band LOYAL 2 NONE in 1999, (check them out at www.soundclick.com/avengeance). In the heyday of the Stouts, the band played shows frequently with other local punk/hardcore bands, as well as some well-known national acts, but over time it became more and more difficult for the band to book shows. For absolutely no reason, the band seemed to gain a very bad rep with promoters, venues, other bands, scenester idiots, and other PC hillbillies in the Florida music scene. The band always stayed true and refused to kiss anyone's ass, which is pretty much a death sentence, but after all thats happened we all had fun & look back with no regrets whatsoever. Will there ever be another Stouts show? Who knows, but as long as the site is still functioning you can always find out about any happenings or listen to the songs.
