Lyrics
The Girl from Timmins Oh carry me to North Ontario It's my farewell and time to move along I fell in love with old Vancouver Someday she'll reach for me and I'll be gone When the liquors good down goes the whiskey The only way I know to mend this broken heart So freight train blow your lonesome whistle An sing for me that Hobo Bill's last ride And Lord Oh how I miss that girl from timmins And how I miss those kisses I love best The taste of wine that night and her affection Haunt me taunt me in these warm Vancouver rains Talk: You know it's hard for a man sometime's to face the truth About where he was yesterday where he's at to-day And where he's headed tomorrow If only I'd a listenned a little more Perhaps.. she's still be with me now Well I guess come tomorrow I'll hock this old guitar for train ticket back home and get me a job in the mine, save my money and maybe buy myself a brand new pick-up truck then maybe she'll take this old guitar picker back Well in the meantine it's another town another girl And the same ol song.
