Story behind the song
I was 19, 1981 ...& had a strange sort-of girlfriend who I'd met at a church dance--half Chinese, half Japanese. The studio was just in a guy's house but he had the Roland TR-808 new drum machine I knew about and a synthesizer and an 8-track tape deck . . . . So this meant I could play all the parts myself using the latest cutting edge technology! No such thing a "sequencers" or MIDI yet, so, I am playing all the parts live, including the finger cramping ongoing bass line which anchors the piece.

Cool song! who played the guitar solo? was it the same guy that played on "international man" I think that was the song title.
