Story behind the song
Light Rock for this up tempo song also inspired by the Grand Palace, it’s a song about hope. Whilst visiting the palace there was a small gold bowl standing outside one of the temple entrances and inside this gold bowl was a single flame, this image has stayed with me since and I still remember it vividly, it got me thinking that wherever you are and however dark the situation is somewhere there will always be a single hint of light you just need to find it, this “One Shining Light” formed the basis of this song “in the darkest night there always be one shining light”. The song again features the bansuri and once again I use it as lead instrument against mainstream instruments this time matching it with an uplifting electric guitar solo. Whilst the song is topped and tailed by a somewhat quitter intro and ending letting the flute shine, it’s then blasted by the electric guitar and drums in the middle.
