A song about Muscle Cars. Thanks to Mike Sargent's band for backing me up!
Singer/Songwriter
I'm a singer/songwriter.
Story behind the song
The first "lyric" song I ever wrote. Was inspired by my hot rod 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge!
Lyrics
DRIVIN IN STYLE
J. Michael Tracy male vocal/ rockin uptempo
Back in 1975 we were feelin our oats
We drove Roadrunners, Mustangs, Camaro’s, Torina’s and Goats
The tires and the gas we burned would make you cry
But they would come every Saturday night to see our hotrods fly
There were SuperSport Chevys, with 454s
My Judge had 4 on the floor
Drivin like hell on a Saturday night
Muscle car heaven, never losin a fight
I had a hot rod Goat with a 455
Eatin up every Mopar, Ford or Chevy alive
Burnin up the lights on the Miracle Mile
We were wild , we were young and we were Drivin in style
12 bolt posi., 3 inch pipes and Ram Air
When I burned a Mach 1 in the quarter, it just wasn’t fair(yeah right)
Davey had a Hemi Cuda and he gave me a run
But I beat him by a 10th of a second, man it sure was fun
