Imagine if Pink Floyd and The Beatles had an electronic band with Weird Al on the drums, Einstein on the sequencer, and the Cheetos cat jivin on the bass in the back with shades.

Story behind the song
This is the story of how a kids deals with the reality of thinking that parents are supposed to stay together forever. No matter what. They don't leave. But in this case, all of a sudden, the dad said he was leaving. The youngest son who was 9 at the time, couldn't understand : "what do you mean you're leaving, Daddy's don't leave" - so the boy thought. But this Daddy DID leave and NEVER came back..
Lyrics
My Father was in a rock band when he was 20 Then he gave up all his dreams to have a family Maybe through the years he came to realize That we were in his way, and he had to decide... I remember the day my daddy had to say goodbye I never knew the reason, but I wondered why So I held onto his leg And I started to beg and cry.... (chorus) No daddy please, don't go When are you coming home? No daddy please, don't leave Cuz I'll never make it on my own... (2nd verse) My mother was in this marriage for the long run 3 divorces later, now she's 51 Gave up all her good years, just to raise her kids (bridge) Why'd he even bother Trying to be a father I wish he never did Cuz everything now Is affected somehow by him... (chorus) No daddy please, don't go When are you coming home? No daddy please, don't leave Cuz I'll never make it on my own...
