Story behind the song
I went through a really rough period after the break up of a relationship. I wrote this when I was finally starting to feel better again.
Lyrics
It’s a hard song to sing when you’re living the rhymes Heart’s on your sleeve; the past on your mind It’d been a cold winter when I met her that spring Time, peace, and pain would change everything April is cruel, but May is so fine The coming of summer; the passing of time Beginning a new day; leave the old one behind Time, peace, and pain been good friends of mine BRIDGE New morning’s broken, a glorious sight I don’t feel the same ‘cause time, peace, and pain Make everything right So fill up my glass with a little sunshine And cold rain and snow, and the wild winds that whine Like the first glimpse of morning through the darkest of nights Time, peace, and pain make everything right Time, peace, and pain make everything right
