Blessed are the poor in spirit
Those who mourn because of sin.
They are blessed for they are the meek
And desire righteousness
more than anything,
They are the merciful,
They are the pure in heart,
They are the peacemakers,
And when the persecution starts,
They are blessed and beyond any doubt,
Theirs is the Kingdom,
Theirs is the Kingdom,
Theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Now Jesus didn't come
to this world to criticize men,
He didn't come to start any wars,
His way is the way
of the gentle redeemer King
Teaching the ways of His Kingdom.
And all who would follow
must desire more than anything
To walk in His footsteps
Even if it costs them everything,
To be empted of self,
To be filled with each word He brings,
The teachind and ways of His Kingdom,
