Fantasy-themed rock ballads and anthems
Our demo CD "The Dark Before Hope" draws on the work of Tolkien, especially the Lord of the Rings epic. Bethany, lead vocalist and lyricist, is building up a body of songs about other books she was moved by as well--she's a fantasy writer with a penchant to wax eloquent in many forms about literature. Daniel, primary musician and current producer, plays around on his bass and sometimes a guitar to find musical hooks to build more songs around.

Story behind the song
Another early Tolkien fan song.
Lyrics
Lorien... Globe set deep with time and memory Glimmering pale within the night Sweet your sadness plays to me I long for your warmth, seek your light Lorien... # {Songs within youa014lauding, keeninga014 All ring true, like mithril beating Yet they vanish, pulled by Time's winds Into the wash of the sea with the sand's shifts} # Lorien... Starry glade to catch the moon's nectar Shimmering sweet against the skies Who is strong to keep you ever? I wander from where the dusking land lies # Pendant upon the breast of earth Set upon a slipping wrought-chain You fade without the golden queen-elf Love borne for you bears its own pain
