Solo act playing original and cover material on 12-string and keyboards. Available for booking in Central Oklahoma.
I have been playing and writing songs for more years than most of you have been alive. I started classical piano when I was 8, 12-string guitar when I was ten, and wrote my first song when I was 16. I am largely self-taught, but have benefitted greatly from the many bands I've played with over the years. I've also been an avid listener of music, and sought to incorporate many different styles into my songwriting. As you will hear, my songs reflect the fact that I've been many places and done many things other than just play music. They have, in the original sense of the word, character.

Story behind the song
His only comment was, "Well, Dan, that may be what you think." He was Scottish, and they are rather protective of their daughters. We got along very well, and I miss the ol' boy. However, he didn't approve, ultimately, of our marriage. No matter, we divorced anyway. I'm much happier being married to the French.
Lyrics
It started out as a favor for a friend: Would you please see to her needs? And would you please get to know my eldest daughter, I've loved her all of these years. She's a lass whose the last of her mather, I think it's time we let her go. She's a lass who could never leave her father, I think it's time we let her know... That she's a lass whose waiting for a friend, So friend, why don't you take her home. And she may have trouble with her heart, But please don't think it's with her soul. And she may not always do what you're wantin' her to do, But she's there, she's there to make you whole.
