Story behind the song

I wrote this song because i ahd a young lady that i was crazy about and was willing to do most anything for her, but she felt that i was too soft. The real problem was that i was too much of a gentleman and she wanted someone that was hard and the jealous type at the same time and i am neither. So when she saw i refused to be hard and jealous, she decided that she would date others and that's when i decided that i can't live like this and of course you know the rest of the story.
