There's nothing I'd rather do than play music. I write my own songs, but also enjoy playing the work of Kate Wolf, Richard Thompson, the Grateful Dead, and many other musicians too numerous to mention. The songs I write tap into the same veins of insight, inspiration, and ecstasy that my favorite musicians channel so well.

Story behind the song

the music began with a keyboard improvisation i played while my wife and a few of her friends painted each others' bodies--i was invited to join them, but i would have been the only guy participating, and playing music for the ladies seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do...they said it was amazing how well i tuned in to what they were doing....anyway, i've been adding a part or two to the various improvs i recorded at the time, and this is the latest...two more to go, then i'll have an album ready.....
