A song about a person who has a very strange way of putting things into words.
My "band" is a Macintosh Computer with a sequencer and instrument module (software) and a recording simulator called deck. But it is amazing what can be done with these things!
Story behind the song
My good friend and canoeing partner, Swede Erickson, in Alberta, Canada back in the day would come up with some of the most different ways of saying things. This song is inspired by him.
Lyrics
There by the highway dejected I sat.
Starin' at a tire that was flatter than flat.
Back in my garage I could see my old jack
I used on my wifea019s car and forgot to put back
Then along come this codger in an old pick up truck
He stops and he looks, says, I think yer in luck.
My jack will most likely work, you can try a018er
Cause I see that you got a flatulent tire.
And I says, a01CWhat?a01D and he says.
(CHORUS) You got a flatulent tire
Do pardon me, son, for being so crass.
You got a flatulent tire
Your tire has passed, passed all its gas,
Well, We drug out his jack, stuck it under the car.
Pumped till it raised her right off of the tar.
Spun off the lug nuts and pulled on the rim
And as we was working I mentioned to him,
You got a different way with a word
That is the strangest thing I ever heard.
But as I ponder I can see your desire
To call my dilemma a flatulent tire.
