Story behind the song

Water is a material resource necessary for physical life. However, water is sometimes used in punishment for sin, as with the flood of Noah’s day (Gen. 6:17); and with the drowning of Pharo's army in the Red Sea. 

But the greatest observation of water is found in the example that Jesus (who never sinned) was baptized by John in order to identify with sinful mankind and to be a model for others to follow (Matt. 3:15). 

Although Baptism is not a requirement of salvation, it is a requirement of obedience. So please! If you haven’t done so, get baptized.
