Story behind the song
It was actually a woman (of course!) I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic. But the story OF the song was actually a War-time song (Band of Brothers style). The troops, experiencing the most heartbreaking loss, and the families at home, waiting for their loved ones to return safely. Particularly the girlfriend/fiance, hence the title. (And yes, the woman was blonde) :o)
