Mother's Day tribute

I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Lyrics
(1) What’s your first memory of your childhood? Was it a sight or a sound or something else good What I recall me from that special time Was my Mother’s eyes as she looked into mine (CHORUS) My Mother’s face… (it was kind and it was caring) My Mother’s face… (showed the love she was sharing) If there’s one memory that time won’t erase its looking into, my mother’s face (last verse) its looking into my mother’s face (2) Each night as I would lie down in my single bed I would listen to the stories that my Mother read We’d say a prayer then she kissed me goodnight And told me “don’t let the bed bugs bite” (CHORUS) (3) And now my Mother’s gone, with only pictures left behind But they can only capture one expression in time I look at them but they’ll never replace How frowns became smiles on my mother’s face (CHORUS)

Very sentimental and lovely. The bass part sounds like Paul McCartney style but, much better.
