I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Story behind the song
After someone leaves you it becomes an obsession.
Lyrics
Since You’ve Been Gone 1) Since you’ve been gone my life’s been on hold Shot down in mid flight my wings started to fold Since you’ve been gone I’ve been in a shell I don’t answer the phone or the stupid doorbell (Chorus) What did I do to make you leave Give me an answer, one I can believe I never asked to you to leave me on my own But that’s what I am since you’ve been gone 2) Since you’ve been gone I can’t concentrate When I go fishing I forget to bring bait Since you’ve been gone my life’s been off track I’d rob a train if that would get you back (Chorus) 3) Since you’ve been gone I’ve started to drink My brain’s so numb that I’m unable to think Since you’ve been gone I hold your photograph It reminds of when I was able to laugh (Chorus) © 2006 Words and Music A.P.
