Cross between Dire Straits and the Beach Boys
A combination of jazz, blues, and new age...NousBleux!
Story behind the song
This is actually about a gig I played at the end of the summer for a yacht club.
Lyrics
Summer rain, down in the marina in the bight
Evening showers won’t stop their party night
No one seems to care about it, feelin no pain
Oh yeah, they’re all dancin in the rain
The music fills the misty darkness all around
Check out guitar Craig wailing in the crowd
Maybe they will play that old Beach Boys song
The one you love and you can sing along
Firefly sparks stirring in the bonfire want to play
And the harbor lights reflecting on the bay
When he hears that Hollywood band
No more Mr. Blue
The rain is washing all her cares away
And the seeds of summer love that grew
The band keeps on playin those familiar melodies
And they dance in all of their sun-drenched memories
There go all the wine-soaked yacht club ladies and the seaside summer jocks
To sail away on a ship called equinox
