Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
Actually seeing that several things I had picked on people for were happening to me! I picked on Nettie in 1st grade for being heavy and she jumped on my prize posession Hong Kong Phoey lunch box! Please say a prayer for her family as Nettie is, sadly, no longer with us. I dedicate this song to her memmory and the fun we had together in school.
Lyrics
HIGHLY INSENSITIVE COMMENTS „¶ 1997 Rob Carter I remember 1st grade. My ¡§Hong Kong Phooey¡¨ lunchbox I was very dismayed at its quick demise. Guess I never should¡¦ve made those highly insensitive comments About poor Nettie¡¦s size. Now Phooey is dead and her size is nothing compared to mine. I remember 5th grade. I had but one good friend. The mistake that I made; I called him ¡§the wart man¡¨ Guess I never should¡¦ve made those highly insensitive comments About poor Michael¡¦s skin Now I can¡¦t count all the scars from the liquid nitrogen! CHORUS Guess I never figured God¡¦d be so literal As to let the judgments I made fall back on me. Of everything I picked on I became a victim And the measure that I used when I heaped on that abuse is now mine. I remember 10th grade¡Kor somewhere thereabouts Dan had just one eyebrow and had to pluck some out. Guess I never should¡¦ve made those highly insensitive comments About poor Danny¡¦s brow ¡¥Cause mine are much worse than they were and I gotta shave ¡¥em now (to chorus, then bridge) BRIDGE Picked on a chubby one, now I¡¦m fat! Picked on a warty one, now look at that! Picked on a man with little hair. Now some insist my hairline¡¦s runnin¡¦ scared! (to chorus)
