A song about fatherhood. Funny that neither my brother nor I have had experience being a father. My brother, Whitaker and I wrote this together.

Stoddard Blackall and his piano. Oh, and his voice.
First of all, I'm not really a band. I'm a guy who writes music because it feels so amazingly good. I love to go back and play my music to myself because it sooths me. I love how I don't have to play it any other way than the way I want to play it. But I also LOVE to play to other people because I love to play to other people. It just feels great.

Lyrics
Charlie, How’d you get so big, Oh Charlie, How’d you grow so fast. Charlie, Don’t stay out too late at night, That would give your dad a fright, I can trust you’ll do what’s right. Charlie, Brush your teeth for me, Oh Charlie, Get to bed on time. Charlie, Do your best I know you can, And though I really don’t know when, You will thank me in the end. They’ll be times, When you will hate me, They’ll be days, When you wanna berate me, You should know, I will help you, Any time. Charlie, You can still have fun, Oh Charlie, Once your homework’s done. Charlie, I don’t mean to make you sad, I don’t mean to make you tired, I just mean to be your dad. To protect you from the bad, Hope you know that I am glad. That you’re my son and I’m your Dad.
