Listen to Them Cry, George

Hi, I'm John Lord!
Story behind the song
I hate what Bush has done, and I hate war. This song had to come out eventually. I've created a military background here, with lone drummers & lone trumpeters to bring out the sadness of the war chaos engendered by 'George'. In most other republics apart from the USA, a president who leads his country to war and then loses would be thrown out of office and probably jailed. After all is said & done, a US president that's caused this much misery in the world should resign, at least out of common decency & respect for the rest of us. But I don't think decency & respect are his thing... Listen to them cry, George - YOU caused it!
Lyrics
Listen to them cry, George, can you see their tears?
Do you wonder why, George, they all live in fear?
You are only human, they are just the same -
Eat your humble pie, George, stand up and take the blame.
You came, you saw, you gave them shock and awe,
You tore out the essence of their pride.
You raid, you roar, you've conquered them in war,
But you'll withdraw when there's nowhere left to hide.
Listen to them cry, George, can you see their tears?
Do you wonder why, George, they all live in fear?
You are only human, they are just the same -
Eat your humble pie, George, stand up and take the blame.
You drive right in and break most everything,
You crush them, and kill them and smile.
You need to win, protect your next of kin,
And it's all been so good and worth your while.
Listen to them cry, George, can you see their tears?
Do you wonder why, George, they all live in fear?
You are only human, they are just the same -
Eat your humble pie, George, stand up and take the blame.
You made a mockery of true democracy
When you marched into their land.
You claimed authority with no majority,
And caused a tragedy that's out of hand!
When I see the children screaming in their pain,
Houses bombed and blasted, I curse your mad campaign.
Boots of GI warriors breaking down their doors -
In the end I tell you, the oil will not be yours.
Listen to them cry, George, see the hell they're in.
You have made them die, George, that's a Christian sin.
On the Day of Judgement, mortal and divine,
You dare not deny, George, you're wrong. So just resign!
