HAIL THE CONQUERING HEROES By j pirard Was he a man that a son could be proud of Was she a saint or a whore to be scorned Did they live lives in the course of decisions Trying so hard or just living a lie Hail to the conquering heroes of our lives Those who would nurture and those who would fail Those that we know of and those that we see All of the that they need to set free They call us all to know They call us all feel the flow Every day feel the rain fall down A painter a soldier a sinner a lover A mother a father a sister a wife A brother a child a runner forgiver All of the people that make up a life Hail to the conquering heroes of our times Hail to the people who help us decide Those that we hear of and those we dont know All of the stories that are left to write They call us all to know They call us all feel the flow Every day feel the rain fall down The flow of song so great to know The muse relates so hard to go Just leave a trace so youll know you made your mark
