New demo 08-26-09. All string parts were played on a little midi keyboard with e-mu's Proteus X sound module...some really awesome software. The characters in the song are based upon some old friends of mine from way back when.

I remember a guy from when I was a child. We camped in the woods, sat around the camp fire. I swear we heard a wolf howlin' in the woods. Our breakfast on the fire tasted oh so good. I remember a friend from my old high school. He ran so wild breakin' all the rules. He liked to play the fool, but he fooled everyone. He's a teacher there now with two fine sons. I remember a friend from my college days. We got so high playin' Purple Haze. We tried to be like Crosby Stills and Nash But we needed new guitars and we didn't have the cash. We marched against the war in Vietnam. Now he's writing code for IBM. I remember a guy from when I was a child We camped in the woods, sat around the camp fire Our breakfast on the fire tasted oh so good. I loved the smell of the burnin' wood.
