RECORDING=PERSONAL STUDIO I wrote the original DANGEROUS WOMEN song for a League of Women Voters (http://www.lwv.org) event and was asked to write a custom version for the women of Torrance, California (South Bay region of Los Angeles County).

Soulful Beach Groove music following in the footsteps of Van Morrison, Eva Cassidy, Bill Withers, Jack Johnson, Elton John and Sting... with a French twist!
Some kill you with a smile like the Mona Lisa
With kindness like Mother Teresa
Or even with an axe like Lizzie Borden
You just got to love those dangerous women
Plenty of chicks have been in the military
From Joan of Arc to General Ann Dunwoody
Marie Curie knew all about science
And Agatha Christie was the queen of suspense
Here’s to the girl who won’t behave
Won’t play it safe or be a slave
Won’t be forgotten by history
Who’s out there telling her own story
Careful and cautious leaves me cold
Give me audacious, brave and bold
There’s nothing wrong with the quiet type but as for me
I love a woman who lives… dangerously
And California Girls were changing the landscape
Like real-live wild fires and earthquakes
They kept the law busy issuing warrants
Especially in that rebel town of Torrance
Don’t call her “Your Honor,” Katy Geisert was “Mother Mayor
Irene Mills wrote to the soldiers to show how much we care
Isabel Henderson brought refinement and culture
And there’s no tougher cop anywhere than Sue Rhillinger
Here’s to the girl who won’t behave
Won’t play it safe or be a slave
Won’t be forgotten by history
Who’s out there telling her own story
So, when in Arabia, stay away from that warrior Lawrence
In the ocean, watch out for riptides and currents
But whether you live in town or make a guest appearance
You’ll be quite safe here with our dangerous women of Torrance
How I love those dangerous women of Torrance!
