Rain was falling gently,
the leaves following in kind,
along the banks, in hollows
and on the rivers of my mind.
Thoughts so slow and steady,
currently defined,
o'er the depths and shallows,
passing shoals of the divine.
A rainbow before the darkness
sunlight through to see
dancing in the moments
the world of yet to be
A still so strangely silent
rustling through the leaves
all alone in oneness
a forest of belief
Rain was falling harder
the leaves all on the ground
deciduously naked
trees drumming into sound
Thoughts of not much further
branching out to loud
as the rhythm faded
a hymn once lost and profound
