Story behind the song
story behind the song: still an easterish theme, had a visit yesterday (yep wednesday, infusion day lol) from some of the enlightened (as per them), that left me wondering. Jesus was a Carpenter, a tradesmen per se for quite a few years. Maybe all those friday nights were practise in learning to survive three days of hell repeatedly, but possibly the old fashioned way amidst different spirits, nectars, grape juice etc.
Lyrics
you know, i always wondered
who could die that way
say take my life in place of all others,
only us mortals remain
you know, i always thought
it was how zombies get born
say eat my brain and maybe i'll join you
resurrected forever more
its another good friday
i'll be reborn in three days
its another good friday
and these spirits ain't going to waste
you see i always thought
the good guys would win
saying guts and glory, surrender or die
but that's not how it really is
you see i always wondered
why a father would take away sin
a little confession is good for the soul
a lot lets you forgive them this
its another good friday
i'll be reborn in three days
its another good friday
these spirits they ain't gonna wait
its another good friday
water to wine that depends
its another good friday
if i've got no money to spend
you hope i'm joking, but i'm really not
i've been reading and walking the world
saying truth is beauty and beauty is truth
you learn to tell that to all of the girls
you pray for me, but why should you bother
its been so dusty mile after mile
i ain't no god, i ain't no consumate evil
just a man, drinking here for awhile
its another good friday
its another good friday
its another good friday
its another good friday
i'll be reborn in three days
its another good friday
and these spirits ain't going to waste
its another good friday
water to wine for my friends
its another good friday
they're worth dying for again
worth dying for, for their sins
