Story behind the song
story behind the song: more "hotties" at the pool yesterday, said hello, not much more. had an earache last night (keep putting the ears underwater and that happens on occasion) and then went and missed earth night. woke up this morning feeling stupid and all sorry for myself (falling asleep before 8:00pm does that i guess). heard "hold on" by you know who, looked at THE painting, opened the blinds, opened the drapes, sat down with the sun, keyboard, bass and guitar (and other toys) for a bit [quite a while actually] and came up with this. originally no lyrics, but that was not to be, had to ruin a good thing. minor key ending = well she's not here is she. btw women my age are allowed to be considered hot too lol. (mind you most of them claim to be 10 years younger that might explain it)
Lyrics
woke up to the robins singing
saw them first time yesterday
guess spring is coming
don't know what else to say
i wish i could think that fast
to talk sometime with you
thought words were my friends
but that was until you
moved on to the bathroom sink
after flushing out my life
avoided that moment
where i could meet my eyes
Triumph from the radio
while she's looking straight at me
thought maybe i could forget you
but that is just my dream
(thought maybe i could forget you
but that was just my dream)
