It's about the songs. I'm not so much a singer-songwriter as a songwriter-singer. I do not fit into a genre. The genre fits the song. They range from rock to country ditties, from standard lounge ballads to power pop, from blue-eyed r&b to country rock. I sing almost all the vocals and play almost all the music (mostly on keyboard) but, as I said, it's about the songs.

Lyrics
Balloons to Heaven You were just a child When your momma had to go The Good Lord had to take her, I guess But why I'll never know She's gone to heaven, they said You tried not to cry Where's heaven, you said Well, child, it's high up in the sky You were the sweetest little girl You were your momma's little pearl And ever since she had to leave you much too soon You'd always send her your balloons up to heaven The day your momma kissed you goodbye You were too young to understand anyone ever had to die When they told you later you wouldn't see her again You were holding a blue balloon And you just opened your hand Now since that day, you've been OK It's like you got an angel up above Well, I guess you might say Ain't nothing can stop a mother's love I gotta believe In the by and by You'll see your momma again High up in the sky And i gotta believe on that beautiful day There'll be tears of joy in your eye When you see her holding Your balloon bouquet You were the sweetest little girl You were your momma's little pearl And ever since she had to leave you much too soon You'd always send her your balloons up to heaven
