Minnesota's Coeus the Boxing Titan offers a more unique take on the Prog Rock genre, roughly sounding like Pink Floyd playing Noise Rock after being stabbed in
Minnesota's Coeus the Boxing Titan is a musical deity that descended from the clouds back in 2008, as a way for sole member and songwriter Aro to vent pent-up emotion and punch holes in the fabric of modern rock. Combining his own takes on several genres, Coeus takes enormous influence from progressive, psychadelic, and industrial rock; artists like John Frusciante, Pink Floyd, Queens of the Stone Age, Primus, Beck, Mike Patton, and King Crimson. There are many undercurrents that help make the style distinct; downtempo and hip-hop music were a huge inspiration, as well as funk, noise rock and electronica. With nothing but cheap instruments and a PC, Coeus music is written with a heavy emphasis on the atmosphere and production of each song. The lyrics are stitched together from the chaos of the human mind, dealing with subjects like introspection, sanity, relationships, and heartache.

Lyrics
-chorus- marching armies of these fallen angels our rebellion ended in cloudland when it's perfect, violence has purpose paradise begins, with hell in heaven -verse1- bags of deceit cloud around sunken eyes forget meadows we soar distorted skies no blame, life came as some sort of surprise the torture's worse, just no pistols or knives those who revolt became unchained demons left these gardens as martyrs for heathens I stand free in this endless wilderness and though I'll cope I'd hoped it'd have hurt less -chorus- marching armies of these fallen angels our rebellion ended in cloudland when it's perfect, violence has purpose paradise begins, with hell in heaven -verse2- there's no sword for all those demons I keep no gold halos just sell angels that sleep battlefield earth the idea's the fight it's will, not pills that helps us out at night count scars like stars believe in these real ones violence at least expresses some feeling unless all this persistence is worth it nothing's for sure witnessed the worst of it -chorus- marching armies of these fallen angels our rebellion ended in cloudland when it's perfect, violence has purpose paradise begins, with hell in heaven -outro- let's say life's a game world's without tied ends can't be so bitter when we can't repent the biggest dice roll in all history that's why our bible's such a bore to read
