Bankin' on the Red, White and Blue was recorded at the Nest , Austin Texas and at Luck ranch recording, Texas
This album began while I was laying back in the hotel room and started placing chords. As I began playing there was this phrase: in the back of my mind that started repeating “bankin’ on the red white and blue, bankin’ on you. I started to think about all the different things that I thought about my country, what I thought of the American culture, my appreciation of it, my critique of it, my questions about it.
