Story behind the song
Recognized as one of the unexpected tracks on the album, "Lust" was a song that came on its own - quickly, painlessly, and then refused to leave. It refused to lengthen itself further than two verses and showed its versatility by being equally haunting whether performed acoustically or at the keyboards. Being one of the darker, moodier tracks, it has never been played live. However, being a track with a mind of its own, it toyed with the idea of creating the noir-ish atmosphere to two music videos, then settled back into the normalcy of being an interlude following the intensity of "Pan."
Lyrics
If I felt your hands Against My shoulderblade Would I shiver Shrivel up And melt away Awakening senses Turn to red From gray Tease me with your presence Lead me astray Take me away If you were to Tempt me With a poison kiss Would I swirl Deep into A dark abyss Is solace hidden In a strange Forbidden bliss I shouldn't be indulging in Something like this But how can I resist
