Murphy Horner is a musician/singer-songwriter of Christian music. Originally from a small town in Texas, she grew to love the experience of worship and leading others in it. At the ripe age of 15, she was given the opportunity to join her very first worship band as the lead singer for her home church. She lead worship for her youth and her church congregation for 4 and a half years. When she was 18 years old, she met Christian Music manager Greg Lucid, who presented her with the challenge of writing her own songs. Murphy accepted the challenge with great expectations and excitement and quickly began writing her own music. After her very first song written on her own, she fell in love with the process of taking every day life experiences and pairing them with melodies and has been sharing inspirational stories through her writing ever since. As she grew as an artist and worshiper, she went on to attend Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas where she became apart of the main praise and worship team for her school. After leading worship for her student body for 2 years, she then made the move to Nashville at the age of 21 to embark on the journey of pursing her dream. Now, 22 and currently residing in Nashville, she spends her time pursuing her songwriting and music career, striving to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through her music.
