Say a prayer
For a stranger will take your life tonight
You're unaware
But your home is in a snipers sights
and your children are no more, they are calling you from where
they feel no more the pain that comes from living there
Say a prayer
for warmth upon this coldest night
and if you dare to dream of victory in this fight
you're clinging on to life despite all the blood they've shed
and tonight though your home burns the flame of hope still burns blood red
From the river to the sea
they pray for liberty
for a hard won destiny
to be free
Say you care
that the little girl will eat tonight
though there's no one there to tell her things will be alright
and the ruin she calls home will be secure one day
and when the smoke is clear the tears will melt away
From the river to the sea
they search for liberty
for a hard won destiny
to be free
