Damascus Dawn is a diverse group of people dedicated to one goal: proclaiming the love of God through music. We come from various ethnic backgrounds (from white, to black, to hispanic to a little bit of everything), musical backgrounds and varying marital status. But the things we have in common far outweigh our differences: we all love Christ, and we all love music. Damascus Dawn is: Michelle Scott Redmon: Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar Songwriter Lannae Mahan: Bass, BG Vocals John Mahan: Lead Guitar Deborah Young: Keyboards John "Johnny B" Blackledge: Drums
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live as much as we can! We play at coffee houses, festivals and churches. We're also open to playing house concerts. We LOVE playing live. The best part about playing live is the feeling that we're making a difference in people's lives. The special moments are those times when a listener comes up to us afterward and says that something we said or sang touched them or brought them closer to God.
Your musical influences
Jennifer Knapp, Barlow Girl, Superchick, Hillsong, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Mark Schultz, and many, many more.
