She's the One She's the One
Rocker with strong vocal harmonies - sort of Beach Boys meet Deep Purple meet Kansas w/ killer solo section.
I Can't See the Reason I Can't See the Reason
Funky, melodic rock with killer organ and guitar solos. Think of it as Stevie Wonder joins Yes.
Pieces of My Heart Pieces of My Heart
Slightly Jazzy/Bluesy piano ballad with lush strings and Beatl'esque bridge.
Jammin' to Pieces Jammin' to Pieces
A minute-and-a-half Hammond organ jam. 'Nuff said ...
Dazed Days Dazed Days
Synth-led pop-swing-shuffle-thing ... LOL. Fun song with nice groove, but the killer is the bridge and guitar solo ... shades of Steely Dan ....

Stylistically, MMB is reminiscent of 70s & 80s flavored, prog-rock. But while influenced by groups such as Pink Floyd, Yes, Deep Purple, Kansas, ELP, and Styx, MMB music is undeniably unique. It features bold chord progressions alongside instrumentation that ranges from artfully tasteful to technically brilliant ... but puts intricate melodies and vocal harmonies front and center.

Your musical influences
I suppose at the earliest level, late sixties and early seventies bands like Three Dog Night, Hollies, Beatles, Chicago, Grand Funk and such. A little later, and as a keyboard player, I was swept away by the prog scene and bands like Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, ELO, Kansas, Styx, and the likes. What equipment do you use?
heh ... a bunch ... main set-up is a Quad Core Intel based DAW, Fireface 800, SONAR v8, Wavelab, Waves plugs and others. Main keys include Motif XS8, Korg M3, and Korg CX3 organ - a bunch more - too much to list.

She's The One, to my ears, has - in the vocals- a late 60's AM sunshiny pop (American Breed?) sound that is quite infectious. Yeah, I hear the Deep Purple organ, and the Kansas middle part, but the vocals and melody of the song is the centerpiece here. Good stuff!
Hey Ken, nice page here, I'm glad I can come here and listen to your music, I enjoy it a lot.
