COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS is a five piece, youthful, energy packed rock band coming straight out of Maryland with nothing but one thing on their mind, to make honest, hard-hitting songs that you cannot get out of your head. Including members with ages that range from seventeen to twenty-one, it is hard to peal your eyes away from these guys. Their home town following must all agree that their live performances are full of non-stop entertainment and songs that leave you humming. Holding an east-coast tour (blood, sweat, & rheTOURic) and hundreds of shows under their belt, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS has caused a sensational buzz in and out of their home state.
Their debut EP "Our Fear Is Our Glory," is smart, versatile, and loaded with gold-plated harmonies. Michael Mattingly (lead vocals), Mike Green (guitar/vocals), Vince Green (guitar/throat), Ryan Altvater (bass/vocals), and Kenny Smith (drums) worked with producer Ron Vento of NightSky Studios (The Pennyroyals, Wakefield, and Downtown Singapore) to solidify the groups unique rock sound.

After a few member changes, and a solid taste of tour for 2 weeks up and down the east-coast from CT to FL, we finally have ourselves a band that is doing more than anything to constantly work on weekly goals to achieve that higher BIG goal later down the road.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yeah, we play live all the time. Mostly in our hometown at the moment, and also around our area (MD, VA, PA, NJ, etc.). Yeah, we all love playing live shows. I think it's the best time for all 5 of us to come together as a whole and just shine in front of everyone. I think the best moment is getting on stage in front of a huge crowd that you know loves you, and you come out with this crazy-awesome introduction that leads into your first song of the set.
Your musical influences
We are all about the live show. We love to put on an energetic performance, with the crowd singing our lyrics along with us, and just feeling the energy given right back to us as we give it off from on stage. We love music, not breaking things.What equipment do you use?
