Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
STOICHKOV is an explosive new player in the European rock scene. STOICHKOV combines unpolished talent with unbridled energy and a passion for old-fashioned ear-drum bashing.
The genre that STOICHKOV has invented for itself is Turborock. Turborock is hard, tight, raw, and fun. The term Über-rock has also been coined, because most of the lyrics are in German, apart from a French and some English songs. STOICHKOV's music has been compared to that of Motörhead, Kyuss, Peter Pan Speedrock, Black Sabbath, and pre-Bruce Dickinson Iron Maiden.
Some landmarks: 2001, STOICHKOV is formed by Tim (guitar) and Jakob (bass/vocals). Seven drummers later, in 2004, the first real demo is recorded with Sander on drums. In 2005, Sander is replaced by Rikkert, with whom STOICHKOV tours successfully through Bulgaria. (STOICHKOV is a bit famous there because the band's name is borrowed from Hristo Stoichkov, a Bulgarian football hero.) In November 2005, Rémi (lead guitar) joins the band. From March 2006 Rikkert is being replaced by Aldo, a flamboyant Italian drummer. Present: STOICHKOV does as much gigging as possible.

Well somepeople think because of the combination german vocals and hardrocking punkish style, we are into racist ideologies: This is certainly not the case! The german lyrics started as a joke by the bassplayer and the joke still goes on.
