ST MaVado
S.T.’s youth enhances his pretty boy charisma and original delivery. This young emcee is refreshingly authentic in his words and captivating to watch when performing. S.T. was first schooled on the rap game through serious study of DJ Clue and DJ Kay Slay underground mixtapes. Not only did he learn about how various styles of rap could be used to evoke serious emotions from the street’s loyal listeners, but he figured out a way to combine all of these styles with his own youthful thoughts and intriguing Brook Avenue experiences. Not your stereotypical Puerto-Rican rapper from the BX, ST uses his baritone voice and creative pronunciation of words to give your discriminating ears a little different experience.
On the battle tip, S.T. is brilliant in the way he takes over a crowd. His hype energy and enthusiasm on stage gives his flow a totally different dimension, and he won’t stop rocking until you’re nodding your head along with him. Ladies are curious and love to watch him come alive, while fellas respect his confident, risk-taking stature. No rapper in the cipher can sway S.T., and he is never satisfied with his rhymes because a true lyricist is always evolving in his gift. Hip hop is back and in full force though each of his rhymes.
As S.T.’s buzz swarms over the tri-state area, many up-in-coming producers and artists are currently collaborating him on yet to be released singles and mixtapes. For a sneak preview, you can catch a glimpse of S.T. on the “Smack” DVD, mixtapes by DJ Mix-A-Lot and BET’s 106 and Park Freestyle Friday [televised]competition (Jan 2005). Building on a base of fans from the ‘hoods to the woods, Faces Inc. will be featuring S.T. as a feature rap artist with an upcoming Faces Collaboration CD and solo album.
