Still Waters (IND)

Still Waters was formed sometime in autumn 2001 in Gangtok/Sikkim...India.

Playing their brand of "Feelgood High-Energy Riff Rock", S.W have gone thru' probably every kinda' achievement that a rock band in India can aspire to go through. Browse on for everything else....

Formed in Gangtok some time in July-Aug' 2001, Still Waters started adding respectable laurels to it's list of achievements real early. After a negligible first onstage appearance at a minor local fest' in their hometown, their second gig was straight at the Great Indian Rock-6 Fest in Delhi...how big can it get than this right? With a "Seen it all; done it all" kinda' record to back 'em up, right now they're all set to rock any/everywhere in the country. Major college fest' victories, full-length album's release, headlining gigs, T.V appearances, Best Indian Band nominations (courtesy RSJ, of course)...these guys have been thru all of these. However, after a year or so's low-profile existance, Stl_Wtrz hit back big time at a reunion concert in Gangtok, on the 22nd of May 2005, followed by their first "outstaion" gig (since the reunion) at the Unwind Center's JRO-2005; in Chennai, on the 13th of Aug'2005. Since then, the band's been giggin' loud and proud all over the country. You'll be hearing a lot/more about Still Waters in the coming days!

Playing LIVE gives the band it's ultimate high! Performing at GIR-6, releasing full-length album, headlining festivals(college/otherwise), winning major competitions ( IIT-Guwahati etc etc etc...) nationwide, getting nominated as "best indian rock band" @ RSJ's annual polls....the band has been there...done that!
