Stickman are, apparently, a "quite exciting concept".
We delve into funk, metalcore, world fusion, ambient electronics, and industrial sounds to produce noise sometimes sublime and sometimes ridiculous. Its never the same, but one thing unites the sound: you can tell we're having fun.
Band/artist history
Stickman started out in early 2004 as Fragmental. This early mutation was driven by a need to play music in a situation where the then Disfunkt member Jono needed to express music outside of his current outfit. The idea was dropped as Jono concentrated on new band Rasputin (www.rasputinband.tk), although arose again under the name Presidents of the Crawl Space. Tracks like Headf*** and One Man Army War on Terror rose up during this period, along with John Goes North on Narcotics, a project with Poison of Narcotic-Process (www.narcotic-process.tk).
However again, things calmed down as Jono spent more time with Rasputin, and new band Bedlam (www.bedlamonline.tk). Within Bedlam, Jono found AfroDave, and his interest in loop-based music fired up once more, this time called Stickman. Creation has been almost non-stop since then.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Stickman have not yet played live, although Jono can be seen with Rasputin (www.rasputinband.tk) and Bedlam (www.bedlamonline.tk) with AfroDave.
Your musical influences
Afro Celt Sound System, Happy Mondays, RATM, NIN, Pig Destroyer, Superoint Ritual, RHCP
Anything else?
You gotta listen to more than one of the our songs to form some kind of opinion, each song is just a fragment of the big picture.
The big picture will hopefully be released in the form of a live set very soon.
