Steve Wilson's music career began at the age of 13 when he picked up his first guitar and learned to play it by ear. Steve's musical talent matured as he played in several bands during high school and college. His music career took a 4-year hiatus while he left the University of Wyoming to serve as a paratrooper in the Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division. During this time, however, Steve continued to write and upon leaving the Army in 1997, the 25-year-old guitarist moved to Dallas, Texas. Playing in many of the Dallas-area bars, coffeehouses, and college-establishments, Steve’s music began to get a grassroots following. Although best known for his shows in Denton, Texas, Steve is now making his name known in Austin, Waco and other Texas cities. In the last 5 years, he has become a singer/songwriter whose music has been compared to Creed, Seven-Mary-Three and Matchbox 20. His music combines heartfelt lyrics with rhythmic guitar riffs that tell stories of his own life and those of his close friends. His first two-song EP, "16 Days" has sold-out and he's currently working on a 10-song, full-length CD due out by fall '03.

Most live shows are in the Southwest in Texas and Louisiana. The best moment was definitely playing a New Years Eve show for the men and women of the US Air Force during Operation Iraqi Freedom "somewhere in the Indian Ocean".
