Great songs, can't believe I haven't posted here yet. I would ecourage everyone to listen to these songs. Songs crafted. Songs written, and stories told over understated melodies. Brilliance in seeming simplicity. I really think these are great examples, from the American school of songwriting. You rock.

Steve, It's absolutely whacky that this page is so outta the way... I stumbled in and found music that has meant more to me than any other music that I've heard in a long time... a LONG time. You've instantly proven yourself to me to be a masterful song writer and performer. Promptly added to my favorites that include Prine, Springsteen, Dylan and Todd Snider. You are, indeed, a featured performer on my website, http://www.mitchelljessie.com Man, keep going, Brother. - Mitchell Jessie

Really, enjoyed your music Mr. Whalen, very nice! Liked "Girl From Jersey" the best and then "Used to Being Blue". Very good voice, your style and voice at times reminds me of early Eagles music, keep on writing and posting tunes here, great job!
