Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Steven's Day Out was created in 2000 by Kevin Snow. At that time, the band consisted of Thomas Harris, Kevin Snow, Jeremy Kyzer, and Brandon Sykes. However, due to conflict of musical interests, Thomas left the band, leaving the band with only one guitarist. After long hours spent preparing, another conflict of interests arose. Brandon was unable to continue devoting time to the band and therefore left. Without a drummer, Steven's Day Out was lost until they hooked up with Jacob Stanford. Jacob played drums with the band for a few months and played a couple of local shows before a conflict arose between him and other members and he left the band. In an attempt to save the band, a close friend of the band, Steven Collinson, took up drums. He began lessons in November of 2001. In March, the band accepted him as their new drummer. After many long hours of practice, paired with many hours of despair, the band perfored a powerful performance in front of a sold out crowd at a local show. This announced the rebirth of Steven's Day Out. Over the summer, the band worked long and hard preparing for their demo which they released in August of 2002. They played shows throughout the Columbia area through the spring of 2003. Then they realized that to proceed further they needed a fourth member. Thus "Willie" was added to the line-up. A local Columbia kid, Willie added a new edge to the band with his guitar and vocals. Who knows what'll happen next?
