Steven Alan, El Matador!
Band/artist history
I began writing and composing songs back in 2002. I needed a way to express myself and I found it.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not at the moment but his does plan on playing live soon.
Your musical influences
Well one of my musical influences is Jump5 because of their simple feel good songs that have good messages, their performing style and their attitude. Another musical influence of mine is Namie Amuro. She is a powerful performer, her songs are really cool and original and is a hard worker. I like Chris Brown's music and style of dance. I also like techno music, piano instrumentals and voice software.
Anything else?

Whats up! Its Steven Alan! Yes, I am still alive. LOL! Wow! It has been a while. So much stuff has happened in my life in the pass year. I have experienced extreme failures and successes. I transferred from Valdosta State University to Georgia State University. School is going great. It is challenging but interesting. I turn the big 20 this year. I am no long the self-proclaimed internet teen singing sensation. LOL!
I have been checking my web page periodically and I want to thank those people who continue to listen to my music. I know I said I would release some new music this year, however, due to unforeseen circumstances; I had to postpone the release indefinitely. I have not quit making music. I will return soon.
This month, I took a seven-day Caribbean cruise to Puerto Rico, The US Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, and The Bahamas. Dont Worry, Pictures are coming soon.
The new year will bring bigger and better things for us all!
Happy New Years!

01/30/07 - Bonjour, this is Steven Alan. Sorry about not have any new music as I said I would. My computer died. It comes on but nothing happens. All the files on it are lost. However, this does not mean that I am done with music; I will return. I cannot tell you when but I can tell that I will return.
College is going well. This semester, I am taking French, Russian, English, and Algebra. I love foreign languages and cultures. I have not declared a major yet but I am strongly considering majoring in Economics.
Also I have a myspace page: www.myspace.com/stevenalanmusic
As always, thank you for your support. You all are the best.

09/27/06- I am now offically 19 years old. My birthday was the 25th.
09/16/06 - I really cannot wait to create and release more songs. J-Pop music, specifically Namie Amuro and Ayumi Hamasaki, has inspired me. I wrote a song recently tentively called "Why." I will most likely change the name of the song because the name "Why" is really generic. It is a ballad.
Off Subject: Anyone likes MTV's Fresh Meat challenge? I did! I cannot wait until MTV's The Duel challenge airs. Beth in any challenge equals a good show (LOL).
Thanks for listening and supporting me.

08/24/06 - Hello, it's Steven Alan (duh). It has been a while. Here is a brief update about my life (personal and music):
I graduated high school (with honors) on May 27, 2006. I earned 12 college credit before I sit foot in a college. I attend college at Valdosta State University.
I cannot wait to release another song but at the moment I cannot. I live on campus and my music equipment is at home. BUT I plan to release another song before this year is complete. It mostly will NOT be a Christmas song. But if I release a Christmas song, it will accompany another original song.
Although I have not updated my site in a while I have been checking up on things. I want to say thanks for the people who have been listening to my songs and supporting me. You are the best!

10/23/05 - I auditioned again for a part at the Georgia Aquarium on 10/3. This time it was to play a character that interacts with the visitors. I performed improv with a object (I do not remember what is was). And I performed two different cold readings. No call back.
On 10/5 I auditioned for an educational film called "Managing Pressures Before Marriage." I performed two cold readings one was with a girl and another was with a guy. No call back.
On 10/22 My sister and I filmed scenes for the indie film "Sweet Potato Pie." Both of us are done now we just have to wait for the film to be finished and edited. I have been offered a part as an extra but I have to put my schedule into account.
Do not worry, I have not forgotten about my music. I will be releasing a new song before this year ends. No further info is available at this time but check back soon. More surprises are coming soon, trust me.

Wow, that's the worst thing I ever heard.... Keep up the good work....
Hey Steven,
I'm here out of curiousity after your review and I'm listening to Blue Christmas right now and I can hear the potential here. Unfortunately there is no cohesion here, at about 2 minutes I was left wondering if something great was coming but it never came. The manipulation of samples is obvious here and tend to make the piece sound overly fabricated. Vocal and string pads sound too manipulated for my taste. Overall the song idea is fair but I feel that the prodution needs a lot more love.
Hi there! Yoy wanted to know when my next song was coming out? its here now-
thanks for signing my board man!
huggies! I`m listening to 500 Miles To The Future! -Im voting HOT for the the great intuition and for the guts!
Best Wishes for the holiday season and the upcoming year.
We have six songs which will be released in January and the coming months and we are anxious to share them. Cheers from snowy Montreal, Todd

Hey Steven, here for a review like I said. Listening to "So Very Lonely", you seem to have trouble keeping on top of the note you're singing at times. I like the soft piano and voices in the background though. Keep doing what you do. Also, LOL at that guy who said "Singing wasn't all that good, but I'm not a homo, so I can't judge a guy's voice like that.. ", that gave me a good laugh...
