Steve was born in Kingston, Ontario and currently lives in Calgary, Alberta. He has been crafting songs since the age of fourteen and has penned over 150 songs.
The running list of artists that Steve has been told he sounds like includes: Jim Croce, David Gray, Gordon Lightfoot, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Blue Rodeo, Peter Murphy, Hermans Hermits and Paul Simon.
