Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
?A musician with heart,? is probably the best way to describe Steve Allen?s music. Originally from the Hawaiian Islands, Steve Allen has been writing, recording and performing music since his high school days in the San Fernando Valley. An accomplished guitarist for ground breaking fusion bands like Blu Soul, Steve has now found his voice as a solo artist.
Garnering attention for his first single ?When? as a Finalist in Song of the Year?s Folk category in 2004, Steve has continued to push the envelope in creative music. He has drawn comparison to artists like Daniel Lanois and Thom Yorke of Radiohead. Steve is currently working on his solo album and is currently showcasing his songs in LA and surrounding area in the West Coast.

What equipment do you use?
All of the songs on my site I created by myself and played all of the instruments. I used my computer and Cakewalk to record my songs. I also used PRS guitars, Ovation twelve string, Yamaha acoustic, Fender bass, Line 6 (guitar and bass pods), Crate amp, Zoom Rythm track for drums,and Yamaha XG series keyboard. Damn you teckies!!
